Presenting HELIX research during the ARCOR Days 2024
Flavien Vucko, Global Research Leader from the French Corrosion Institute, attended the ARCOR Days 2024, an event organised by the Association for Research on Corrosion and Corrosion Protection (ARCOR) on May 28th-29th, 2024, in Brest (France).
On May 28th, during the slot reserved for presentations to the Marine Corrosion committee, he delivered the presentation “Outcomes from the HELIX project”, which mainly focused on two topics: hydrogen embrittlement and corrosion testing.
Moreover, the presentation provided an overview of the HELIX project and introduced the materials and coatings used, as well as future work involving real outdoor testing.

Within HELIX, the French Corrosion Institute is in charge of the evaluation of hydrogen embrittlement and fatigue testing in real seawater, cyclic corrosion tests according to several standards, and coating testing in simulated and real offshore conditions.
